CEO / President:
John R. Moran, Ph.D., M.D. is
founder, President and CEO of Moran Research and Consulting,
Inc. Dr. Moran holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA and was
the Damon Runyun Walter Winchell Cancer Foundation Fellow
in the Harvard University Department of Chemistry. He was
a Principal Investigator in the Central Research Department
of E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company and a founding Scientist
of GelSciences, Inc., now known as GelTex Pharmaceuticals
Inc. Dr. Moran is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist. He received
his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina and
completed an Ophthalmology Residency at the Storm Eye Institute.
He specializes in the treatment of Diseases of the Cornea,
Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is a Member of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract
and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Moran has extensive experience
in software development, applied mathematics, chemistry, materials
science as well as pharmaceutical and diagnostic technology
development.
